Cara achieved a First Class qualification after three years of intensive acupuncture training with the Traditional Acupuncture Association, qualifying in 2015.

In June 2020, Cara became co-founder and Clinical Director of an acupuncture project designed to support NHS staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
