What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-body therapy that helps uncover and process the deep-seated emotional and physical effects of trauma, anxiety, and stress.
Developed by Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting is based on the principle that
“where we look affects how we feel.”During a session, a specific point in your field of vision—known as a Brainspot—is used to access areas in the brain where unprocessed trauma and emotional experiences are stored.
By holding focus on that spot and noticing what arises in the body and mind, clients can begin to
release stuck emotions, sensations, and memories in a safe and supported way.
How Does It Work?
Brainspotting reaches parts of the brain that traditional talk therapy may not access, especially the deeper subcortical areas where trauma is often held.

- Work with Deborah to identify a Brainspot that connects with what you want to explore (e.g. trauma, anxiety, pain, a life event, or a stuck emotional state).
- Sit in a comfortable, relaxed state, gently observing your internal experience while focusing on that visual point.
- Be supported in a space of attuned presence—allowing the body and brain to begin
- self-healing at their own pace.

About Deborah
Deborah is a Brainspotting Practitioner and Consultant-in-Training, with over 20 years of experience in the wellbeing and trauma recovery field. She brings a deeply compassionate and body-informed approach to her work, supporting clients in nervous system regulation and embodied healing.
Alongside Brainspotting, Deborah is also a:
- Certified TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) Provider & Trainer
- Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST)
- Group facilitator and educator in somatic and embodiment practices
